Mapping function int to integer

Hi all,

is there any way to convert xsd:int to xsd:integer and vice versa (without implementing a ejb function)? Problem is that "integer(value)" returns xsd:integer but all date functions for example use xsd:int. I have found no way to parse the parameter with the set of functions of BPM. Is there any hidden trick to do so?
