User for RFC from BPM to ERP changed by deployment

Hello together,

 

we are using the business process management in several processes in combination with web dynpro as ui.

 

We are also using automated activities in the process model. For those automated activities the system is creating an own destination with destination type "RFC Destination" with the name of the dc followed by a consecutive numbering.

In the nwa we maintained a technical user and a password for those destinations to create a connection during runtime. During the development it happened sporadical that the user was reset to a dialog user which is a part of the development team and this causes wrong returned values of the automated activities

 

I suggest that a deployment of the process dc (automated activites included) or the deployment of the service group is causing this issue.

 

Of my point of view this issue is not repeatable so i think we won`t have success with an OSS ticket.

 

 

Does somebody know such a behaviour?

Unable to find service PurchaseOrderCreateRequest BPM Guide 1

Hello I am following BPM Guide 1 and stuck in below step :

"Prepare the enterprise service which we will use for our scenario"

 

I am unable to find NWDemoAdminService in my Demo system for CE 7.3

I later found that we need some SAPNWDEMO.SCA file which I dont have with me.

I tried downloading it from SAP Marketplace but I dont have authorizations.

 

Please let me know what could be alternate solution to this scenario.

I am stuck here and cannot go forwards with these guides.

Log is not coming in the production systems!!!

Hi,

 

I am not able to display the LOGO in the production system. And the  Logo is in .jpg format.

 

And i have taken the Logo from the MIME repository and save the logo in .jpg format.

 

 

And its working fine in DEV and QUA.. I couldn't in PROD...

 

Kindly Suggest.

Error in E-mail Notification in BPM

Hi folks,
  I have create one Simple BPM Project in which i Created one Notification Activity to send the mail
  but when i am starting my BPM Project it is showing the below error in history :

Notification could not be sent to
the following recipients:
xxx@xxxx.com(Error sending e-mail),
xxx@xxxcom(Error sending e-mail)

 

and also the Task Event Notification is not working , giving following error :

 

Event notification could not be
sent to recipients xxx@xxx.com for task instance ID
7800745f-3a34-11e4-b4c2-0000037bb076. Problem: Cannot send e-mail because the
e-mail session cannot be retrieved

 

Please give the solution for this.

Is it possible to set custom attributes of task for already running process?

Hello experts!

 

Is it possible to define and set custom attributes for task of already running process (for example with BPM API)?

Process instance was started when custom attributes were not defined. But later process was upgraded and current version has custom attributes definitions.

BPM version is 7.3 EHP1 SP7.

SAP Netweaver BPM import RFC error: sapjcorfc.dll: Can't find dependent libraries

Hi All,

 

I´m testing with SAP Netweaver BPM and I wanted to call a RFC directly from SAP Netweaver BPM.

But I always have a Problem when importing the RFC into NWDS.

 

This is the error I get:

I checked and I can see sapjcorfc.dll in folder C:\SAP\nwds\eclipse\plugins\com.sap.mw.jco_2.1.10.130220141316\lib\

 

I added sapjco.jar to Java > Build Path in NWDS, but this didn´t help.

 

NWDS Version:

SAP Netweaver Developer Studio - SAP Enhancement Package 1 for SAP NetWeaver´- Developer Studio 7.3 SP07 PAT0000

 

Does someone know how to solve this?

BPM with Fiori Launchpad?

Hello SDN!

 

We're going to migrate a couple of WDJ applications to HANA and we plan to use Fiori Launchpad as a start screen. We also want to migrate BPM process used a WDJ app as a UI. In SAP NW Portal we has a UWL with our BPM tasks in it but will it work in Fiori Launchpad? Maybe there is an alternative to UWL for Launchpad?

I know that BPM able to use SAPUI5 screens as UI, I need to know details about working BPM in Fiori Launchpad.

Using BPM for SAP business workflow

Hi, all
I have a question about BPM. I would like to use BPM to control SAP business workflow.

I think that Fiori needs to be implemented with SAP business workflow if we would like to

customize approval flows such as multi-steps of purchase approval, complex business rules...

 

But I wouldn't like to create many configurations with SAP business workflow. So, is it possible

to control the approval steps and business rules by calling them from BPM (including BRM) ?

How to create custom UWL iview for each BPM process/application

Hi,

 

We have a requirement to create different UWL iviews corresponding to each BPM process so that the tasks corresponding to each process is segregated. I have explained the same in detail below:

 

Process A --> UWL view 1--> Tasks corresponding only to Process A

Process B --> UWL view 2--> Tasks corresponding only to Process B and so on.

 

Is there an option in the uwl iview to filter based on the process name or any other alternative to achieve this functionality?

I know this we can achieve in CRM itself with work flow with rules( BRFPlus) but we want to use BPM at this stage.COuld anyone help on this how achieve this ..

Business process to be mapped

Hi SAP gurus,

 

I want to map a business process in SAP which is described below:

 

1) I have a manufacturing Plant where currently my manufacturing processes are running.

 

2) Now a new requirement has come where another company will supply his raw materials to my plant and on his behalf I will create his finished products using those raw materials supplied. Finally I will send him back those finished products.

 

That means it will be a subcontractor's role for my plant.

 

How to map this scenario in SAP.

Value Help with the BPM API for Z tables

Hello,

 

I am trying this functionality. I have tested with standard BOR objects (so standard search helps). I have defined an ABAP Alias in NWA and the OData Service of the BPM retrieves the values of the search help.

 

My question is, which is the best way to use search helps of Z tables. Should I create a Z BOR Object in order to create the ABAP Alias in the NWA or there is another way?

Document Attachment and Upload using BPM

Hi BPM Experts,

 

Just want to ask if this is possible and if so, how can this be applied (High Level would suffice).

 

Current Scenario:

  • File is attached and upload to a separate server (file server) via SAP BPM (please correct me if I am stating it correctly).

 

Future Scenario:

  • Instead of uploading the attached document to another (separate) server, it would now be attached to current server of BPM (new content repository is created - in database maybe).

 

The current settings was applied as part of the default installation delivered by SAP.

Using LPOR for GOS instead of BOR

Hi all,

we have developped some SAP Business Workflows using classes (implementing the interfaces BI_OBJECT and BI_PERSISTENT) instead of BOR. This works fine so far.

We have also implemented the GOS toolbox within our application using BOR. This works also fine so far.

 

For beeing consistent we want to use our workflow classes instead of the Business Objects within the GOS toolbox. The CL_GOS_MANAGER supports in its constructor explicitely the is_bc_object structure (=LPOR, also used for the mentioned workflow class through the interfaces).

After attaching a document the system shows the message "Attachment was created successfully" but opening the attachment list (popup from GOS toolbox) the list is empty.

 

Any ideas what I have to do? Insert and implement an additional interface to my workflow class? Customize something?

 

It's a "little bit" confusing that many GOS related SAP classes seem to only support BOR but why has the CL_GOS_MANAGER the "class" category with LPOR explicitely as valid import parameter?

Cannot modify Consumer Proxy configuration

Hi,

 

We have developed a BPM process in NWDS on SAP NetWeaver 7.3

One of the tasks in the process can take quite some time before it receives a response from the backend. Since the 'Max waiting time for HTTP response in milliseconds' is set to 60,000 it will throw a socket read timeout exception after 60 seconds.

 

I would like to increase this value, but I was not able to modify the settings in the Consumer Proxy's 'Configuration' tab since the edit buttons are disabled:

Is a deployed BPM process simply not modifiable fro NWA, or should I change this timeout somewhere else?

 

Any help is highly appreciated!
